Business Leader. Community Builder. Public Service.
Michele Lau brings more than 20 years of experience in banking, corporate finance, entrepreneurship and private business leadership to public service.
Communities are strongest when people have the opportunity to build, work, invest, raise families and create businesses in a safe and prosperous environment.
Michele began her career in financial services before moving into entrepreneurship and financial advisory work. She has founded and led ventures in hospitality, real estate and investment management.
Her experience has given her a practical understanding of capital, business growth, risk management and the challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
She is also a co-founder of the World Trade Centre Okanagan, connecting Canadian businesses with international markets and opportunities.
After spending her career building businesses and working with people from across Canada and around the world, Michele believes her experience can contribute to the future of British Columbia.
She wants to bring a practical, business-minded perspective to government: listening to residents, understanding the challenges facing families and businesses, and focusing on responsible decision-making.
For Michele, public service is about showing up, listening and getting things done.Michele Lau · New Westminster–Coquitlam
